SCHOLARSHIPS, EARTH DAY GRANTS AND SUMMER CAMP APPLICATIONS
The A&WMA-NFS will not be accepting applications this year for the NYSDEC Summer Camp. Since the camps were not open last year, due to COVID, last years winners will be attending this year, if the camps are open.
The A&WMA-NFS is now accepting Earth Day Grants. Applications are due by March 26, 2021. Click here for more information and application forms.
The A&WMA-NFS is now accepting applications for for High School Seniors and College students who will be attending a college or university in 2021-2022. Applications for High School seniors can be found here and for College students can be found here.
Due to the Covid pandemic, we have postponed our annual seminar that we normally hold at the end of January. The seminar committee will be meeting in January to discuss where to go from here. We would like to hold an in-person seminar in May or June but are still considering a virtual seminar. Check back in late January for updates.

ABOUT THE NIAGARA FRONTIER SECTION OF A&WMA
The Niagara Frontier Section of the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA NFS) is a non-profit organization for people involved in the environmental profession consisting of individual and corporate members from the Western New York area. Members come from local universities, governments, NYS Department of Conservation (NYSDEC), local industries, environmental engineering/consulting, legal firms and analytical testing.
The Niagara Frontier is the Section of the Air & Waste Management Association located in Western New York. The Niagara Frontier Section includes the chapter known as the Genesee Fingers Lake Chapter of AWMA.
Locally the AWMA NFS is involved in several areas which directly aid and promote environmental activities, including: monthly dinner meetings with guest topic speakers, an annual day-long environmental education seminar, scholarships for college students, Dave Sauer High School scholarship, Earth Day grants, and Envirun.
