WELCOME TO THE NIAGARA FRONTIER SECTION OF THE A&WMA
The next monthly meeting will be held on October 27, 2022. The program will include a presentation by Michael Spencer of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Cyber and Homeland Chemical Security Regulations. A&WMA Minasian AwardThe Niagara Frontier Section was awarded the prestigious 2021 A&WMA Minasian Award. The A&WMA Minasian Award is given in recognition for superior performance in providing service to Members throughout the year. The award was presented to our Section at the Sections & Chapters Council meeting on June 27, 2022 in San Francisco, California. This is the second time that the Niagara Frontier Section has been presented with this award in the last 6 years.
ABOUT THE NIAGARA FRONTIER SECTION OF A&WMA
The Niagara Frontier Section of the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA NFS) is a non-profit organization for people involved in the environmental profession consisting of individual and corporate members from the Western New York area. Members come from local universities, governments, NYS Department of Conservation (NYSDEC), local industries, environmental engineering/consulting, legal firms and analytical testing.
The Niagara Frontier is the Section of the Air & Waste Management Association located in Western New York. The Niagara Frontier Section includes the chapter known as the Genesee Fingers Lake Chapter of AWMA.
Locally the AWMA NFS is involved in several areas which directly aid and promote environmental activities, including: monthly dinner meetings with guest topic speakers, an annual day-long environmental education seminar, scholarships for college students, Dave Sauer High School scholarship, Earth Day grants, and Envirun.
