The William A. Faust Award

The William A. Faust Award was established in 1993 by the Air & Waste Management Association, Niagara Frontier Section, to recognize a member for distinguished service and outstanding contributions to our Section.

Our 2016 honoree is Bruce Wattle.  Bruce has been a major contributor to our Niagara Frontier Section for over 10 years.  He served as Section Chairperson or Co-Chairperson for two years as well as on our Education and TSC liaison committees.  He has served as the Section Historian since 2013.

Bruce graduated from the University of Michigan in 1979 with a degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science.  He began his professional career as a research meteorologist in 1979 at Calspan and worked there for over 10 years.  Some of his work at Calspan included projects for the Navy and Space Shuttle program and work on diesel engine emissions.  In 1991 he joined Ecology and Environment and has been with E&E for over 25 years.  His current position is Air Quality Manager where he manages and provides technical oversight on projects related to air permitting, air pollution regulatory compliance, environmental assessments and impact statements, and air dispersion modeling.

Bruce was recognized at our October 27, 2016 dinner meeting.
